About Seed Forum in the United Kingdom
The 1st Seed Forum in London was organised in Trinity House in the City of London spring 2002. Since then there has been a Seed Forum in London organised every 6th month.
The 1st Seed Forum in London spring 2002 was the 1st ever Seed Forum, and was named Campus Kjeller Forum as the concept and most of the presenting start-ups originated from the Campus Kjeller (now Kjeller Innovation) Science Park in Norway. All Seed Forums since Seed Forum London autumn 2002 has been named “Seed Forum”. The 2 first Seed Forums in London was organised by Campus Kjeller in cooperation with the London office of the Norwegian Trade Council (later Innovation Norway). Seed Forum Norway Foundation took over the organisational responsibility for Seed Forums in London from Campus Kjeller since spring 2003.
Seed Forum International Foundation was established in 2004 as a British not-for-profit entity with Seed Forum Norway Foundation as the sole founder. Seed Forum International Foundation has been responsible for all Seed Forum activities in the United Kingdom since 2004 and has also since the same year had the responsibility as the global collaboration entity for all national Seed Forum not-for-profit foundations in many countries. The Seed Forum process has originated from Norway but has been further developed by Seed Forum International Foundation out of London to a global process and organisation.
Seed Forums in London from 2002 until 2006 was organised according to grants from the Norwegian Agency for Regional Development “SND” and from the Norwegian Trade Council (both units were merged in 2004 to Innovation Norway).
Venues for Seed Forum London has been Trinity House in the City of London, several times in Haraldssalen at the Inn & Out Club in St. James, several times at the Institute of Directors, several times in the auditorium and the board room of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), several times at the London Stock Exchange, several times in the Pewterer`s Livery Hall, in the Plaisterer`s Livery Hall, in the Butcher`s Livery Hall, in the Wax Chandlers Livery Hall and in Mansion House. The geographic orientation for Seed Forums in London has been St. James and the City of London in Cooperation with the Cooperation of London. The representative of Seed Forum to the Corporation of London since 2003 has been former Sheriff of the City of London, Mr. Geoffrey Bond.
Various distinguished persons have given opening remarks and key-note speeches in Seed Forums in London such as various former Lord Mayors of the City of London and Ambassadors of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A first Seed Forum investor pitch training for UK based start-ups was organised by Seed Forum Academy in the City of London autumn 2014.
